..../....Percewood's Onagram had already found its own, original style of music and it wasn't "Kraut-Rock" at all, they sounded more like an English or American band. P. O.'s music is a strange and unique combination of R&B, Beat, Psychedelic, Folk and (garage-, livingroom-, prewave-) Rock. Catchy, timeless songs, rough and beautiful at the same time with pretentious sometimes provoking critical - but again timeless lyrics. Presented by the band in perfect English and unusual phrasing and backed up by strong acoustic & electric guitars, piano, harmonica, drums and bass. (A combination and sound of instruments that many new groups of today go back to..../...




Posted ImageGerman-American Rock band Percewood's Onagram from Bremen respectively Delmenhorst perform "Leaders (No War No More)", released on the 1974 album "Ameurope", recorded & mixed at Alster Studios, Hamburg, West Germany, in March & April 1974 by Richard Borowski, produced by Wolfgang Michels.

In spring 1983 Michels re-recorded the song in German as "Dealer" with German lyrics written by Rio Reiser (at the time singer of legendary German Rock band Ton Steine Scherben), released on the 1983 Teldec Records album "Keine Probleme" (No problems).

I admit having interest only for this track on the album

3 Since I Met You My Darling

as I listened to this tune on the radio long ago on BRITISH BROADCASTING SERVICE GERMANY, so I'm glad to find this here on your site. And I wonder how nice the other tracks on the album will be, promised!
